Detailed Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Uganda – Welcome to the Pearl of Africa

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide and transferred to your selected hotel in Entebbe or Kampala.Relax, refresh, and prepare for the adventure of a lifetime.

Day 2: Murchison Falls National Park & Rhino Tracking

Your adventure begins after breakfast where your safari guide will meet you in the morning and give you a short briefing about the whole tour then embark on a scenic journey to Uganda’s largest and most celebrated wildlife reserve-Murchison Falls National Park.
You will enroute, enjoy an optional but highly recommended rhino tracking experience at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where wild rhinos can be tracked on foot.

Then you will continue to Murchison Falls and visit the famous Top of the Falls viewpoint, where the mighty River Nile explodes through a narrow 6-meter gorge before plunging dramatically below. This is a truly spectacular and heart-warming sight.

Day 3: Big Game Safari & Nile Boat Cruise

Rise early for an exhilarating game drive across the vast savannah plains of Murchison Falls National Park. The intention is that you see the bottom of the Murchison Falls. Here the Nile river is forced into a narrow gorge and forms the loud Murchison falls. This is the
world’s most powerful falls. After breakfast, you will start a game drive in search for lions, leopards, elephants, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes ,hyenas, Uganda Kobs and numerous antelope species water birds and so much. You will spend the morning exploring the Buligi track, Albert track, Queen’s track.

In the afternoon, you will embark on a memorable boat safari along the Nile River to the base of Murchison Falls.This wildlife-rich cruise offers exceptional opportunities to see:hippos,Nile crocodiles,elephants,buffaloes,waterbirds and african fish eagles and at last witness the world’s most powerful waterfall from below.

Day 4: Journey to Kibale Forest – The Primate Capital of the World

After breakfast, you will travel through Uganda’s scenic countryside toward Kibale Forest National Park which is known as the Primate Capital of the World, Kibale forest hosts 13 primate species, including: chimpanzees, red colobus Monkeys, L’Hoest’s Monkeys, blue monkeys,olive baboons, bush babies, nocturnal portal and so on.You will arrive at your lodge and enjoy a relaxing evening surrounded by tropical rainforest. You have an option to do thw Bigodi Wetland Nature Walk.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking & Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

This day delivers one of Africa’s most exciting wildlife encounters. You will wake up early for breakfast and then travel to Kyanyanchu Park headquarters to get a briefing by expert rangers, enter Kibale Forest in search of wild chimpanzees. You will spend one magical hour observing our closest relatives in their natural environment and watch them feed, communicate, play and groom each other Later, continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing through stunning Kasenda crater lakes and the magnificent Rwenzori Mountains and finally arrive at your lodge and relax.

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Safari & Kazinga Channel Cruise

You will wake up for early breakfast and then enjoy an early morning game drive across Uganda’s most diverse savannah ecosystem to search for the early risers where you expect encounters with Elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, Uganda kobs, warthogs, waterbucks. This area is a mating ground for kobs and therefore a good area to spot the African savanna lions.

After lunch, you will embark on an unforgettable boat safari along the Kazinga Channel renowned for having one of the highest concentrations of hippos in Africa; the channel is a paradise for wildlife and bird lovers. Expect to see hippos,crocodiles,elephants, buffaloes,pelicans, kingfishers, african Fish Eagles and so on

Day 7: Tree-Climbing Lions & Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

You will journey through the famous Ishasha Sector, home to Africa’s legendary tree-climbing lions. Here you will witness these extraordinary predators resting in giant fig trees, a rare behavior found in only a few places on planet earth, so you will get to know why these cats tend to climb fig trees. Then continue to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, the sanctuary of nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. Other animals to see on this game drive include elephants, buffaloes, kobs, topi and also waterbucks and so on. Then you will relax and prepare for tomorrow’s unforgettable encounter.

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking – The Ultimate Wildlife Experience

This is the moment you have been waiting for. After an early breakfast, you will move to park headquarters for briefing after which you will venture deep into Wendi’s ancient rainforest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family. The trek can take between 1 and 6 hours depending on the gorillas’ location. Then it happens! You come face-to-face with the mountain Gorillas, one of the world’s most powerful and muscular primate yet endangered majestic creatures on earth. You will observe silverbacks, mothers with infants, juveniles at play and family interactions. Here you will spend a full hour with these gentle giants.

Day 9: Lake Mburo National Park Adventure

Day 10: Final Game Drive & Departure
